In her recent interview, Henry Cavill's co-star revealed the relationship in the show's cast and addressed ex-Witcher's departure from the series.

The Witcher 's Season 3 is hitting our big and tiny screens at home in June, and the iconic Geralt of Rivia performed by one of the most beloved actors of today, Henry Cavill, is coming back.

But it'll be as soon as the next season that his meaningful silence will change to a noticeable absence as S3 is Henry's last entry in the show.

While none of the directly involved parties have made any sort of "official" explanation as to why Cavill is leaving The Witcher, the speculations are flying and they appear more than believable.

Admittedly, the long-lasting conflict between the lead actor and the showrunners led to this very situation: as Henry Cavill advocated for staying true to the source material, the writers kept ignoring it completely.

Despite this speculation still being up for confirmation, Henry Cavill is leaving the show after season 3, and Liam Hemsworth takes over Geralt of Rivia's character.

The fans are frustrated and they've been showing it in the clearest ways: from online protests and disliking the new trailers to straight-up starting a global petition to fire the writers and bring Cavill back, they're making it obvious that Henry's departure is a devastating decision for them and for the show. But they're not the only ones.

In a recent interview with EW, Anya Chalotra who played Yennefer in The Witcher, spoke about the way she and the rest of the cast feel about this situation.

Apparently, the actors are just as sad as the audience, and they loved working with Henry. When this topic came up during the discussion, Anya made her feelings known.

"The news was... Yeah, it's hard to take because he's a crucial part of the show and we all adore him. So, we're gonna miss him a lot," shared the actress speaking on behalf of both herself and her colleagues.

Admittedly, it won't be an overstatement to say that pretty much everyone even remotely related to the show will be missing Henry Cavill on this project… Apart from the writers and the showrunners, of course.
