Seriously, you might want to watch something different when the night falls.

Warning: the following article contains spoilers for The Winchesters episode 3

The Winchesters episode 3, titled You're Lost Little Girl, might officially make The Winchesters even scarier than the original show, Supernatural, was. At least that's what fans think after seeing that familiarizing themselves with the new monsters from the episode.

First of all, the main monster of the episode — that Vecna/Freddy Krueger thing emerging out of a bag — what even was that, and why on Earth is it so terrifying? Over the course of the episode we get to know that it is called La Tunda, and it preys on kids who disobey their parents. Well, it looks scary enough to haunt adult people in nightmares even if they were golden kids when they were young.

But this is not the most terrifying part about the episode. The worst thing arrives at the end of the episode, when John Winchester is peacefully standing near the fire and a despicable spider-like creature emerges from the darkness. And you what makes a huge monster spider even scarier? The fact that it looks like an actual demogorgon.

Fans noted that the episode felt like something straight out of Stranger Things — both when it comes to La Tunda and the freaky spider in the end. If you have arachnophobia on the level of Ron Weasley, then you might want to watch The Winchesters in the daylight exclusively.

Seriously, many fans went to bed after watching The Winchesters only to have nightmares, for which they sarcastically thanked the series' executive producer Jensen Ackles on Twitter.

However, if you are ready for things to potentially get even creepier, then brace yourselves — and stay tuned to new episodes of the Supernatural prequel.

The Winchesters airs on The CW, with new episodes premiering every Tuesday.
