It is very sad, but the show must go on.

There is a lot to say about Grey's Anatomy, but the fact that it is still going strong after an already impressive 19-year run already speaks volumes about the creativity and production experience of the team involved.

Of course, as in any fandom, the fans don't always agree with every decision they make, but in the long run, it makes everyone happy.

Without the show, there would be no content for the fans, right?

Now that everyone has pretty much made peace with the fact that there are deaths, losses, breakups, and all kinds of devastating events, there is one thing that still bothers a good half of the fans: they never get to see the happy ending.

Of all the couples that have been favored by fans over the years, there are only a few that have experienced domestic bliss and not been broken up by the writers in some way.

This is fair, because a show like Grey's Anatomy basically feeds on drama, and the best drama comes from the relationship. However, it would be nice to have a change from time to time.

There are some couples that the show has suggested have a good life together after they both leave Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

Take Jackson and April for example. But it doesn't feel fair to the fans who watched them go through all that trouble, and it definitely doesn't feel very satisfying.

What people want to see is someone whose bond is so strong that it doesn't break at the first challenge. Someone who fought for their happiness and finally got to experience it, despite other struggles that may come up in life.

Though relationship drama is the easiest to produce to keep the ratings up, fans just wish the showrunners wouldn't always take the easy way out.

With season 20 already greenlit by ABC, there is a chance for viewers to finally see the change they have been waiting for.

There is no news about the release date of the season, but it is on hold with the majority of ABC dramas due to the writers strike. Stay tuned for more updates!
