Violet’s gardens deserve to be tended.

Summary:

  • In 2023 Bridgerton ’s TV universe was extended by the prequel titled Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
  • The show was a success, and the executive producer Shonda Rhimes expressed an interest in creating more spinoffs.
  • Both Rhimes and Bridgerton fans agree that the story of Violet Bridgerton is perfect for the prequel.

Anyone who has ever dipped a toe into Bridgerton's already vast universe has found it hard to come back from the wonderful world of romance to the mundane reality that surrounds us in the XXI century.

From all the beautiful balls to the huge, beautifully decorated mansions and palace rooms, there isn't a detail in both the Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte series that doesn't capture the viewer's attention. The only downside is that the shows, for being so addictive, only offer so many episodes to escape into.

In the best manner of Netflix- produced shows, they focus on quality rather than quantity, leaving room for only 8 episodes per season for Bridgerton and 6 additional prequel episodes of Queen Charlotte. And as much as we all like to watch the same seasons every now and then, it can get repetitive.

With no hope of getting season 3 until the end of 2023, Bridgerton fans are left with only their own fantasies. Although most of the suggestions, theories, and headcanons revolve around either one of the existing couples or the upcoming one of Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, there are some thoughts about another possible spinoff.

Violet Bridgerton Love Story

Though we all remember Lady Danbury's slightly awkward but much-anticipated conversation with Violet Bridgerton about tending her gardens, which in the Bridgerton universe clearly hints at an upcoming love story, the spinoff that fans would rather see would focus more on the past.

After hearing about the magical love that has always played a part in the relationship between Violet and her late husband, Edmund Bridgerton, it would only be fair to finally see the story for ourselves, some fans believe. It would be an absolute pleasure to see the great love that brought Violet so much grief ruined by a single bee sting.

From Violet Bridgerton attending her first ball to the birth of each of the 8 Bridgerton children, viewers are ready to go through as much with the characters as television will allow.

As for casting, well, everyone would really love to see the actress who played young Violet in Queen Charlotte make a comeback. The fan cast for young Edmund varies, but one of the options that would fit the bill perfectly is Jonah Hauer-King, who recently showed his talent as Prince Eric in the live-action The Little Mermaid.

Shonda Rhimes has already expressed her interest in writing Violet's story in one of her interviews, so if another Bridgerton story were to happen, it would most likely be that of Bridgerton's favorite mama.

Until then, you can watch the two Bridgerton seasons already released or the Queen Charlotte miniseries on Netflix.
