The Blind Side Producers Give A Firm Response To Michael Oher's Lawsuit

As soon as Michael Oher went public with his allegations against the production team of The Blind Side, the Internet split into two teams. One fully supports the player whose story was allegedly changed to fit the "white savior" narrative of the movie, and the other demands a little more information to base their judgments on.

With people getting extremely radical about the possible repercussions the production team could face if the allegations turned out to be true, the debates didn't slow down for a single day.

However, until recently, there has been no official comment from Sandra Bullock, who portrayed the most controversial character in the film, Leigh Anne Tuohy, director John Lee Hancock, or the film's producers.

Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove, the co-founders of The Blind Side, were the first to step into the spotlight with a statement.

“The Blind Side is verifiably authentic and will never be a lie or fake, regardless of the familial ups and downs that have occurred subsequent to the film,” they stated, cited by Deadline.

The ongoing scandal involving the entire production team of the film is based on Michael Oher's statement in which he explains how the story of his life was told disingenuously and the part of his upbringing that was performed by the black community was largely downplayed.

Oher also accuses the Tuohy family of manipulating him into participating in the production, which mischaracterizes them in the eyes of the public and makes them a huge profit that they weren't willing to share.
