The first detective project in the Star Wars universe has already revealed all its secrets.

The first two episodes of The Acolyte have been released on Disney+. The project tells a detective story set in the era of the so-called High Republic – a time when the Jedi Order was at the height of its influence and darkness had not yet enveloped the galaxy.

What Happened in Episodes 1 & 2 of The Acolyte?

The Acolyte begins with the assassination of one of the Jedi Order's members – Master Indara. She dies at the hands of a mysterious avenger who wants to put an end to her perpetrators.

Another high-ranking member of the Order, Master Sol, is tasked with finding out what happened and identifying the killer. And the prime suspect turns out to be his former student, Osha. The girl is arrested, charged, and witnesses to the crime identify her as Indara's killer. However, as it turns out, the main character's twin sister, Mae, is responsible for the murder.

Osha and Mae experienced a tragedy in their childhood: their home village burned down. One of the sisters was taken by the Jedi, who agreed to train her, while the other was presumed dead. But as time has shown, both sisters survived.

And while Osha was learning to control the light side of the Force, Mae was studying the dark side and preparing a plan for revenge that would take the lives of four Jedi. At the same time, Mae works for a mysterious masked figure with a blood-red lightsaber, who becomes the main antagonist.

The Acolyte Viewers Have Already Solved The Main Mystery

The plot is strongly tied to all sorts of secrets, involving not only Osha's past and the dying Jedi, but also the mysterious representative of the Dark Side of the Force. At the time of the events of the series, the Jedi had not seen the Sith for a long time, so it is difficult for them to believe that one of them or their followers would decide to attack openly.

The Acolyte was supposed to be a breakthrough – the first detective project in the Star Wars universe.

However, so far the show has not been very successful in this aspect: the identity of the assassin was revealed almost immediately, and the fans have already managed to reveal the identity of the one hiding under the mask, and their theory looks very convincing.

“I swear Qimir is going to end up being the Sith. [...] Sith during this time had to hide their true identity, so its similar to the Darth Jar Jar theories about seeming incompetent so no one suspects you,” Reddit user Thexanl wrote.

Qimir Could Be Similar to Jar Jar Binks

Jar Jar Binks is perceived by viewers as a clown, clumsy, talentless and ridiculous. But there is a crazy theory that he was pretending all along. After all, the great master Yoda himself looked and acted very similarly to him in the fifth episode when he met the young Luke Skywalker.

Some fans have theorized that Jar Jar Binks is actually a Sith and the secret master of the entire Sith Order, and that Senator Palpatine is merely his apprentice or even a puppet.

By the same logic, viewers believe that it is quite possible that Qimir is hiding under a mask – after all, given his skills and knowledge, he clearly has his own agenda and may be much more powerful than he lets on.
