Taika Waititi Spoofs Awful 'Thor 4' Trailer Auto-Captions
New 'Love and Thunder' trailer is out, and it looks like film's director is not so pleased with Twitter's auto-caption technology.
A handy feature used by social media platform provides subtitles for videos without captions, translating speech into text. In theory this sounds like a great way to help those with hearing problems, but in reality, the whole mechanism remains a bit clunky, as the latest MCU movie trailer certainly proves. The technology seems to have failed to coherently translate the spoken words, resulting in some hilarious bloopers.
Taika Waititi noted this by posting some screenshots of the algorithm at work, wondering about the purpose of Twitter's latest creation.
Fans were quick to support the newest meme, creating dozens of pictures expressing their love for the trailer and trying to figure out what the auto-captions might reveal about the upcoming movie.
'Thor: Love and Thunder ' is eagerly awaited by millions of fans around the world, craving to learn more about the sinister Gorr (Christian Bale ) and his quest to kill every god in the MCU. Add to that the return of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Russell Crowe's Zeus and his Olympian gods and Natalie Portman as the Mighty Thor, and you have one of the most anticipated summer blockbusters of 2022.
