Sylvester Stallone's latest TV outing, Tulsa King, has made waves back in 2022 when it took Paramount's ratings by storm after just several episodes.
The two-episode premiere drew 3.7 million viewers to screens and had Paramount+ recording the highest number of a single-day sign-ups ever. Moreover, it even managed to dethrone House of the Dragon as the best brand new series of the year at the time.
Now, the crew is finally back to work on season 2, with the shooting process set to take place between Oklahoma and Atlanta. Sylvester Stallone will be back as Dwight "The General" Manfredi — a disgraced mafia capo just back from prison and trying to revive his once-great criminal empire in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Aside from Stallone and the rest of the cast, the creative powerhouse of the series is also back. We have the creator of Yellowstone Taylor Sheridan himself, joined by The Sopranos producer Terence Winter and executive producer Craig Zisk (Weeds, The English Teacher).
What Will Tulsa King Season 2 Be About?
No plot details have been unveiled yet, but it's safe to assume that the second season will start off by addressing the huge cliffhanger of season 1 that had Andrea Savage's Stacy Beale betraying Dwight and turning him over to the authorities despite being his love interest.
Dwight's current predicament might as well land him in prison once again, even though he enjoyed his newly-acquired freedom in Oklahoma so little. However, The General has already established himself in Tulsa (the show's title has "King" in it for a reason), so chances are he won't be put behind bars again — at least for not too long.
When it comes to his questionable love interest, Stacey may or may not want to prepare herself for the consequences of her actions: you don't just sell out the mafia capo and get away with it.
