Surprisingly, AHS: Delicate’s Scariest Thing Is Not Kim Kardashian’s Acting

Although the new season of American Horror Story, titled Delicate, has had some production issues due to the WGA and SAG AFTRA strikes, it was decided to premiere it anyway by splitting the season into two parts. With the first part hitting the screens of FX and Hulu viewers on September 20, the surprising reviews started coming in.
The show has always been known for bringing in the most recognizable names in the entertainment industry. From Billy Porter from American Horror Story: Apocalypse to Lady Gaga in American Horror Story: Hotel and American Horror Story: Roanoke, it felt like nothing could surprise audiences anymore.
However, this year's guest star had many fans raising their eyebrows. No one expected anything but disaster from AHS' collaboration with Kim Kardashian.
As it turns out, we were all collectively wrong. Whether it was the character of the extremely successful publicist she plays or the amount of practice that went into preparing for the shoot, the actress did not drag the cast down. In fact, many viewers believe that she may be one of the gems hidden in plain sight.
The episode Multiply Thy Pain now has a rating of 6.7/10 on IMDb, with reviews of Kim K's acting split down the middle. While some viewers are still critical of the idea of the reality star acting as a cast member in general, others are much more open to the idea.
“I'm sure there are going to be a lot of low ratings and trash talk just because of Kim Kardashian, but unless you just can't stand the sight of her face she's really not that bad of an actress. The part she's playing is believable and fits her well,” IMDb user babyychelso said in their review.
A quick search of X (formerly known as Twitter) only supports the above claim. A very outspoken crowd seems to be generally in favor of Kardashian's acting, with some already calling for multiple awards and nominations for the actress' most iconic lines.
As hard as it is to make any decent conclusions based on only one episode, it feels like Kim Kardashian and her character Siobhan Corbyn have many more surprises in store for the audience, and we cannot wait to see them.
