Supernatural's Most Obscure (And Unfairly Ignored) Couple Gives Off Strong Good Omens Vibes

When you're a geek, it's always fun to draw various parallels between your favorite shows — even if they are the most random, out-of-pocket, borderline nonsensical things one can imagine.

But seriously, fans of both Good Omens and Supernatural can't help but spot some similarities between the show! First of all, yeah, both series heavily focus on, duh, supernatural and biblical beings. Battles between Heaven and Hell are in abundance in Supernatural and Good Omens... as is certain chemistry between angels and demons.

Now, in Supernatural, there is no definitive love line, unless you're an avid believer in romance between Dean Winchester and angel Castiel (sorry for your loss after that season 15 finale...). In Good Omens, however, the love line has been palpable all along until it finally shined in all its glory in the second chapter's finale.

Neil Gaiman 's story follows demon Crowley and angel Aziraphale, who are clearly more than just friends. But if you watched Supernatural closely enough, you may have spotted a spicy story between an angel and a demon, too. Moreover, the demon's name is also Crowley!

The angel in question is Naomi — the heavenly big boss who was in charge in season 8, which ended in all the angels falling from Heaven to Earth. A couple times over the course of the show, Crowley and Naomi hinted that they share some spicy history.

"If you remember our time in Mesopotamia the way I do, you know I'm a lover, not a fighter," were the words Crowley used when speaking to Naomi in season 8 episode 17, titled Goodbye Stranger.

Now how exactly do these two remember Mesopotamia, and most importantly, why was this never ever addressed on Supernatural once again? Naomi was seemingly killed in season 8 (only to return in season 13), and Crowley remained a recurring character up until being killed off in season 12.

Not once did the Supernatural creators look back at the duo's saucy history. And we would be lying if we said we don't want a Crowley spinoff that dedicates an episode or two to Ancient Mesopotamia now...
