Supernatural: 5 Sidekicks So Cool They Stole the Spotlight from the Winchesters
The Winchesters might be the main stars of Supernatural, but these guys almost took over the show.
We all love Supernatural ’s main characters, especially our beloved Sam and Dean. They're the heart and soul of the show. But there were some side characters who, once they appeared, threatened to steal the entire episode.
1. Rufus Turner
You know it's going to be a wild ride when Rufus teams up with Bobby. These two were like the fun uncles everyone wishes they had. Even though Rufus wasn’t around a lot, the duo he and Bobby formed was legendary.
The epic crossover moment with Sam and Dean chasing a monster Bobby and Rufus failed to defeat gives goosebumps every time. Honestly, who wouldn't watch a spin-off with these two?
2. Frank Devereaux
Frank is basically Ash's grumpier, more paranoid older brother. And he did bring some good laughs.
Serving as the boys ' go-to weird genius, he added a particular zing to the mix. A lot of fans even preferred him over Charlie when it came to tech geeks on the show.
3. Garth Fitzgerald IV
Garth is like that dorky friend we all have and adore. While Supernatural is all about tough guys battling their demons, Garth is the sunshine on a cloudy day.
Sure, his over-the-top optimism is laughable, but his different way of tackling issues made him a standout. Plus, he’s a little reminder that sometimes, it's okay to just smile and believe that things will work out.
4. Charlie Bradbury
The moment she grooved in that elevator, she secured a place in our hearts. Acting like the little sis to the Winchesters, Charlie was the geeky heroine we never knew we needed.
The tragedy of her demise was a blow to us all, and while alternate-reality Charlie was cool, original Charlie is irreplaceable.
5. Death
Death’s majestic entrance in season 5 is iconic. Portrayed brilliantly by Julian Richings, he wasn't just a typical harbinger of doom.
Fans consider him one of the show's absolute bests. When even the fearless trio of Dean, Sam, and Bobby tip their hats to someone, you know he’s made a mark.
