Suits’ Lead Star Books New Show by Netflix and BBC, Looks Promising
The Suits star Patrick J. Adams booked his next big TV show which will take him from Manhattan’s best law firm into the heart of a disastrous terrorist attack.
Summary:
- Patrick J. Adams has been cast in an upcoming Netflix and BBC limited series.
- The TV show will follow the investigation and trials of a devastating terrorist attack that took place in 1988.
- Interestingly enough, Netflix/BBC is not the only one developing such a series: Peacock/Sky is working on its own version of it.
Patrick J. Adams is pretty self-aware when it comes to his Suits fame: on his Instagram, he ironically refers to himself as “the guy from that show you're watching on that app because that girl married that prince.”
But while the law firm series is, indeed, his most famous gig, the actor is ready to take his career to the next level with the upcoming Netflix/BBC limited series.
Patrick J. Adams to Star in New Limited Series
In a peculiar turn of events, two creative teams are developing two limited series about the same tragic incident at the same time. Both Netflix/BBC and Peacock/Sky are working on their separate version of Lockerbie, and both are making short shows following the investigation of the 1988 devastating terrorist attack in the UK.
Suits’ Patrick J. Adams is officially confirmed to have joined the Netflix and BBC team alongside Sex Education ’s Connor Swindells, Outlander ’s Lauren Lyle, Ozark’s Peter Mullan, and many other stars from the past years’ big TV shows. Adams’ role in the upcoming series has not been disclosed yet, but it’s expected to be a prominent one.
What Will Lockerbie the Limited Series Be About?
Lockerbie is but a small town in Scotland which would have happily remained unknown to the world at large if not for a tragedy that happened there on December 21, 1988. Back then, Pan Am Flight 103 was blown up by a group of terrorists, and the airplane’s wreckage landed in the center of the town, taking several lives.
The 259 passengers onboard the flight were dead, as well as the 11 Lockerbie residents when the plane destroyed several houses. The Lockerbie Disaster led to a long and tedious investigation and trials, and the upcoming TV show aims to cover them, providing us with a window into this devastating attack’s true story.
