Succession Fans Want One Marriage To End Before The Show Does

To say that not many fans support the idea of Succession ending on season 4 would be an understatement.

Although all good things are coming to an end someday, it seems like Succession could shine for a couple more seasons just as bright as it did for the past 3 years.

Since the decision to end the show is already final, now fans are left to theorize how the storylines of their favorite characters will end.

Of course, each of the Roy kids has their own loyal fanbase, believing in their happy ending. However, the happy ending can look very different for every character.

While some fans are hoping for their favorite to get something from Logan at his deathbed, others would be happy to see theirs thrive at what they do.

For example, Shiv's fans are generally hoping for her to return to politics, and... Divorce Tom. For the sake of both of them, actually.

After Tom openly admits he's unhappy in this marriage and angry at Shiv even suggesting their relationship be open at the end of the third season, the divorce really seems inevitable.

However, being an absolute power couple comes with lots of pros, so they might as well postpone the breakup till both of them secure their positions. The divorce would simply not be beneficial to either of them, not until Logan dies.

Fans also are aware of how Succession is, so they don't really get their hopes up.

"It would clearly be healthiest for both of them to divorce. So they will 100% end the series still legally married," Redditor allmemesmustdiel says, foreshadowing a possible finale.

Some couldn't help but remember Nate as an alternative love interest for Shiv. However, it seems like his character would not be welcome to join Shiv back in case of her divorce.

The viewers clearly would rather see her continue having one-night stands and random threesomes than go back to someone so boring.
