With all due respect, but Harry Potter sometimes annoyed viewers with its predictability.

Many years have passed since the release of the last Harry Potter book and movie, but fans continue to analyze and discuss the plot.

Undoubtedly, the story of the boy who lived was full of interesting and sometimes unexpected twists, but at times the storylines were too obvious and predictable.

1. Remus Lupin – werewolf

J. K. Rowling has often given extra meaning to character names, and there is no better example than Remus Lupin.

Early in Lupin's first appearance, many predicted that he was a werewolf, and his name was one of the most significant pieces of evidence. Remus in Roman mythology was a boy raised by a wolf, and Lupin comes from the Latin word for lupinus, which means "of a wolf." Fans who knew this were aware of Lupin's true nature from the beginning.

2. The prophecy was actually useless

The prophecy, uttered by Sybill Trelawney, said that Harry was the only one with the power to kill Voldemort, and that one of them could not survive. Of course, it was incredibly obvious that Harry was the one who would defeat the Dark Lord.

3. Bathilda Bagshot was Nagini

When Harry and Hermione went to Godric's Hollow, they found themselves in the company of Bathilda Bagshot, who was behaving incredibly suspicious.

Turns out it was not her, but Voldemort's snake, Nagini. Fans may not have guessed that it was Nagini in particular, but as soon as Harry and Hermione arrived at the Bagshot house, it became clear that something was wrong with her, and that she was not, in fact, Bathilda.

4. Xenophilius Lovegood’s betrayal

In the wizarding world no one was immune to the powers of the Dark Lord, including the Lovegoods, to whom Harry, Ron, and Hermione turned for help.

It soon became clear that Xenophilius was in trouble, and later it was revealed that he he Death Eaters took Luna. From that moment on, fans understood that he would betray Harry.

Fans realized long before the Golden Trio that Xenophilius was going to betray them.

5. The Goblet of Fire chose Harry

The most obvious plot twist in Harry Potter is that in every book and movie, Harry and his friends got in trouble. Harry's name in the Goblet of Fire is one of the most bright evidences.

The Triwizard Tournament had strict rules, and only certain people could put their names in the Goblet. But, of course, Harry's name mysteriously ended up in there and, of course, he was chosen.
