Soldier Boy's Return Means Something Big for The Boys Season 4
Jensen Ackles is on the set of The Boys season 4, which means Soldier Boy will be back and could become the new Big Bad, but not alone.
In the season 3 finale, Soldier Boy passed out after his strongest yet explosion and was captured once again, this time by Grace Mallory. The latest Soldier Boy scene we see does not look good for the Supe. He is sedated and placed in a box in some secret facility.
Last time, his captivity in Russia lasted for nearly forty years. However, the return of Jensen Ackles on the set of The Boys is a sign that this time Soldier Boy's imprisonment will be much shorter. And fans actually have a theory about who could free him this time and how the events will unfold.
The theory says that it will be the new Big Bad of season 4 who brings Soldier Boy back to life, and this villain will be none other than Victoria Neuman, founding director of the Federal Bureau of Superhuman Affairs and the strongest candidate for the post of vice president after she got rid of her opponent with the help of Homelander.
Despite being an anti-Supe activist, Neuman was revealed to have Supe powers in season 2. She turned out to be the infamous "Head-Popper" and adoptive daughter of Stan Edgar, who she betrays in season 3.
It is very likely Neuman will become a vice president in season 4 and with greater power, she will need stronger allies or, more precisely, weapons by her side. It is not a secret that Neuman's first priority is her and her daughter's safety, and sociopathic Homelander is not the best ally.
So all that might be the reason for Victoria to use her political influence to free Soldier Boy and exonerate him from all the charges. This would bring the powerful Supe to her side.
Actually, the partnership could be beneficial for them both. With Butcher's betrayal in the finale of season 3 and Homelander replacing him as the main Supe of America, Soldier Boy is the only character in The Boys aside from Victoria Neuman who holds a grudge against both sides. So once he is awake and functional again, he is bound to plot revenge against both the Boys and Homelander.
In this case, Neuman could be very useful for him with her own deadly Supe power and influential position in the government.
So will the pair become the Big Bad of season 4? Only time will tell.
