Simple Reason Another Actor Is a Better Sheldon Cooper Than Jim Parsons
This actor looks so much like Iain Armitage from Young Sheldon that he could easily play older Sheldon Cooper in another TBBT spinoff.
Although, James Marsden doesn't resemble Jim Parsons at all. His chances of appearing in The Big Bang Theory universe are slim, but we can dream that some genius of a casting director will put Marsden and Armitage in the same movie as father and son and let them work their magic. That would be truly epic!
James Marsden is a great actor with range, and he deserves more fan love and attention.
He has had an impressive acting career, and there is no genre he doesn't excel in. Superhero movies? Done. James famously played Cyclops in the X-Men franchise.
Rom-coms? This is basically what we love him most for. From Zoolander and The Notebook to Hairspray and 27 Dresses, Marsden was one of the IT actors in the 2000s.
Of course, his most famous role is probably dreamy Prince Edward in Enchanted.
Independent movies haven't been off the table for the actor either. He notably starred in 2002's Interstate 60, which wasn't well received at the time, but has found a fan following in recent years.
You could have even spotted James in the extended version of Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood as Burt Reynolds. He did this Hollywood star proper justice!
Marsden doesn't shy away from voice roles. For instance, he voiced Hank in Henchmen and Tom Wachowski in both Sonic the Hedgehog movies.
James has had plenty of roles on television too. You could've seen him in Party of Five, Modern Family, 30 Rock, Westworld, and many more shows.
As some of his appearances in musicals would suggest, the actor has a nice singing voice. After all, he did do a couple of songs in Enchanted, Hairspray, and Gossip all by himself (and we loved every last one of them).
James Marsden is extremely talented and deserves more leading roles coming his way. Hopefully, we'll get the chance to see him in something spectacular soon!
