Silo Star Reveals Season 2 Is Coming Sooner Than You Thought
Fingers crossed we’ll get season 2 this year!
Summary:
When Silo was released in May 2023, it became a hit in an instant. Everything was captivating about this show: the gripping atmosphere, the never-ending mysteries, the darkest storylines (including most unexpected plot twists) and of course the brilliant performances from leading stars.
Although you spend some time getting to know what’s going on in the show, once you realize what it is about, the story keeps you on the edge of your seat right until the finale of the season.
So when the show’s creators realized it was a huge success, Apple TV Plus greenlit the second season immediately, and later the filming started.
The fans are now eagerly awaiting the release of season 2, and it seems they finally got a little hint as to when that might happen.
While promoting the movie Dune: Part Two, Rebecca Ferguson, who plays important roles in both Dune and Silo, was asked by a journalist from Collider about the status of the filming of season 2.
So, without adding much to the answer, Ferguson said that the end is scheduled for the eighth of March. She refused to give any more details, but that may as well be just enough for now.
What Silo Season 1 Was About?
Silo is a dystopian series on Apple TV Plus, adapted from the book series by Hugh Howey. It tells a mysterious story of selected people who are trapped in a silo that was built many years ago.
The silo has many levels, and apparently there are no elevators, so traveling between levels is difficult enough because of all the stairs you have to climb.
The people who live there believe that the outside world is dangerous, so it's better to never leave Silo to be safe. However, some people decided to question this theory and accidentally found out that there are many secrets about the outside world that they have been lied to about.
At the end of season 1, we saw Rebecca Ferguson's character, Juliette, discover a giant pool-like thing in the silo. Missed the iconic sci-fi show? Check Silo on Apple TV Plus.
