When a new show airs, it only takes a few days for fans to decide who they'll be hating.

The new dystopian show Silo has just premiered this month and has already caused a lot of controversy among viewers. Most of the fans are captivated by the plot and every storyline there is.

But as always, there are some people who seem to be not as satisfied as the others.

Ironically, it seems that Silo's main character, Juliette Nichols, is in hot water (both literally in the show, and figuratively on the series' subreddit).

Mostly, the fans are dissatisfied with Rebecca Ferguson's portrayal of Juliette Nichols.

Half of the fandom appears to think that the showrunners made a mistake casting her, because Ferguson seemingly "lacked the charisma" that the character needed.

Others also point out that the actress has issues with delivering the American accent properly, and that's yet another thing that sets fans off.

However, it's not like everyone is ready to agree and jump on Juliette Nichols' hate bandwagon. Some fans just don't think that the character in general needs to be charismatic.

But instead, she just has to be some kind of robotic, like a true mechanical whiz who has a penchant for investigating and discovering how things work.

After all, haven't we only gotten four episodes so far? Many people are confident Ferguson's Juliette has plenty of time to shine.

"I strongly disagree and find Rebecca Ferguson incredibly charismatic as Jules. She is a tortured soul who wants to fix things because she can't fix her family and herself, and she has a lot of room ahead of her to grow into much more.

Her switching from a doctor's daughter to a mechanic to a sheriff shows a lot of dynamism and is a promise for more," Redditor walrus_operator said.

The next episode of Silo will air on Apple TV Plus on May 26.
