The fans are thrilled to have the author watching series along with them.

Silo is the new sci-fi series from Apple TV Plus. The story is based on the eponymous novels by Hugh Howey.

The cast of the show is remarkable and includes such A-list actors as Rebecca Ferguson and Tim Robbins, as well as many other brilliant actors like David Oyelowo and Rashida Jones.

Just like any dystopian series, Silo is full of twists and turns that keep fans glued to their screens. The ending of each episode leaves fans wondering what will happen next.

In fact, the mystery behind each episode is kept not only for the fans, but also for the author of the books.

As it turns out, the showrunners were certainly inspired by the books, but added their own twist to the plot to make the series possible.

As Graham Yost told Screen Rant, they started the show the same way Howey started his book, with the story of Holston and Allison, and then they had to work out how the first season would end.

After that, it was all about figuring out how to fill out the season. And they found a way to make it compelling.

"So, we took this one nugget that he would put in there about how Holston had met Juliette, that there had been the death of a boyfriend that she felt was suspicious. And he investigated. And that's it. And we said, let's turn that into something," Graham said in the interview.

The fans are absolutely amazed at how the show has turned out. But what makes them even happier is the fact that the author himself is watching the series as it premieres online.

On his Twitter page, Howey shared his thoughts on the show and even engaged in several conversations with his fans, telling them that he is also unaware of what will happen in future episodes.

"Episode 4 felt like it was 15 minutes long. My goodness. I'm so hooked on this show #Silo. We have to wait a whole week now? Is this how readers felt when I was serializing the book? I'm a terrible person, aren't I?" he said.

So there seems to be no way to find out what the future holds except to read the books right now. But apparently even that is no guarantee that you will find out how the series will turn out.

Next episode will premiere on Apple TV Plus on May 26.
