Sheila Is Bold & Beautiful's Best Villain, and Even The Show's Stars Agree
The Bold and the Beautiful, one of the most famous daytime dramas that has been gracing our screens for over 3 decades, has undoubtedly seen some iconic villains throughout its long tenure. However, there's one antagonist that stands out from the rest – Sheila Carter.
From drugging people to attempted murder, Sheila sure knows how to cause trouble. She is, in fact, so evil that even the show's stars agree she's the best villainess of the entire series.
Sheila Carter was first introduced on The Young and the Restless, a sister series to The Bold and the Beautiful, and was originally portrayed by Kimberlin Brown. B&B also welcomed the character in the early 1990s, still under Brown's portrayal. At some point, Michelle Stafford took over the reins, with Brown returning to the role once again later on.
Brown has not only been commended for her impressive performance and the ability to bring out emotions in viewers that no other villain can match, but she has also won awards for the role to prove it.
Bold & Beautiful Star Finally Reveals the Truth Behind Long-Standing Rumor
With countless schemes to manipulate people for her own gain, Sheila has served as the chief enemy since her introduction to the series and is easily one of the most dangerous yet iconic characters. But even though she's a villain, fans can't help but be compelled by her as they watch her machinations unfold, never knowing what she'll do next.
However, fans are not the only ones who are fascinated by her antics. In fact, some of the show's stars agree that Sheila really is a true villain. During a talk show on YouTube, which is hosted by B&B's supervising producer, called Bold Live, Don Diamont stated that "Sheila is in a class by herself with evil."
The show's head writer and executive producer Bradley Bell also weighed in on what he thinks makes Sheila such a great soap villain in the viewers' eyes and revealed to TV Insider that she's simply fun to watch.
"It's amazing that she has committed so many evil deeds — including murder — and is still able to have viewers care about her and root for her, yet she can also invoke true fear in the audience. It's uncanny, really," he explained.
Sheila continues to be one of the most recognized villainesses in daytime drama history. She never fails to create chaos based on impulse and commit horrible crimes that can make the viewers want to yell at the screen. But whether you love her or hate her (or love to hate her), there's no denying that Sheila is B&B's best villain.
