Looks like there will be one less sex life to gossip about.

The Sex Lives of College Girls is a relatively new show that was created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble and released its first season in 2021. The show focuses on four college roommates during their freshman year at the prestigious Essex College in New England.

And as you can imagine, their lives are filled with parties, boys, gossip, and self-discovery. Season 1 was actually quite a hit, introducing us to the girls and their problems.

Season 2 began with the girls returning from their fall break to face the challenges they faced at the end of season 1, as well as their next semester of new everything.

One of the show's four main characters is Leighton Murray, played by Renee Rapp. In fact, she is one of the most beloved characters in the entire show for many reasons, but mostly because she was the only one struggling with her own identity.

Another reason why fans loved her was because she was a pretty impressive LGBTQ+ character. So when the actress announced that she wouldn't be joining the show for season 3, it goes without saying that fans were devastated.

"I love Renee so much but I'm actually super upset about her leaving. I understand that career wise doing a tour is such a big opportunity but I feel like it's also selfish. I know it's just a show but I'm so tired of having something to watch with lesbian characters and then not getting to see it through to the end," Redditor oliviafarns said.

Well, it's not like Rapp is leaving the show for good. She will still be in a few episodes, but only as a supporting character. But that's just for season 3. However, if the show is being renewed for another season, she will no longer be a part of it.
