Season 9 of the Most Binge-Watched TV Show Joins Netflix Next Month

It’s a known fact that TV shows that are currently on air do well or poorly depending on their media presence, but the same goes for all series that have ever been released. In 2023, the media soil was perfect for a once popular TV show’s overwhelming popularity resurgence, making it the most binge-watched series of the year at some point. Now, it has another chance to shine in 2024!
Suits Season 9 Comes to Netflix in July
The sensational legal drama Suits has long been available across multiple platforms. Last year, it delivered quite a nice boost in viewer count to Peacock, Netflix, Apple TV, and Prime Video; you can still watch the series with all these streamers’ subscriptions. However, there’s been a major catch that frustrates many Suits fans.
While four platforms currently have the TV show available for streaming, only one of them features Suits Season 9, the series’ notorious finale — and it’s Peacock.
For Peacock, such a monopoly on the final season has proven quite lucrative, but seeing how it’s the smallest of the four platforms, the fact that they need a separate subscription just to watch the story end has been a major annoyance for Suits fans. But that monopoly ends on July 1 when Suits Season 9 premieres on Netflix!
Suits Saw a Major Revival in 2023
Having ended all the way back in 2019 after most main cast actors left it, Suits hadn’t been much heard about other than from its most avid fans… Until all the British royal family scandals came around in 2023. Prior to marrying Prince Harry and becoming the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle famously played the central role in Suits.
All the drama and controversy surrounding the Duchess and her Prince husband led to a dramatic increase in the public’s interest in the TV show, and in 2023, Suits saw a massive resurgence in popularity. The series delivered overwhelming viewership numbers to its platforms, and this revival of sorts even led to a new spin-off being announced — Suits LA.
After watching Season 9 on Netflix, here’s to hoping that the LA-based spin-off can thrive without the royal controversy fuel and picks up where Suits left off, shall we?
