Season 3 Will Go The Hardest on Ted Lasso, And It Won't Be Pretty
Even the kindest people have their breaking points, and this one might get crucial for the plot.
Ted Lasso season 3 premiered on Apple TV Plus on Wednesday, March 15, drawing many loyal fans to their screens.
People have been waiting for the comeback of what was once a light-hearted wholesome show, but with more episodes airing weekly, fans have noticed some undeniable changes.
The main one that stands out the most is the change in Ted Lasso himself. Previously an extremely optimistic person who truly believed in the possibility of success, with each season he slowly let the negativity get to him.
Judging by what they have seen so far in season 3, fans believe they may be just a few steps away from Ted's breaking point.
With his jokes becoming less convincing and his general mannerisms becoming more awkward, they also believe that these slow changes in his attitude are very intentional on the part of the writers.
"S3 I think he's going to really break down, be truly vulnerable, and his people will still be there letting him get to a place where he is actually truly as happy and positive as we thought he was S1.
I think he's been scared to feel those emotions because what if he's like his dad? What if he lets himself feel bad and it's too much?" Redditor Lovelybreakfasty shared their thoughts on what the rest of the season may look like for Ted Lasso mentally.
Despite Lasso's struggles, people still believe in his genuine kindness and positive outlook. After properly dealing with his emotions, fans want him to heal and come back stronger than before.
This would be a very realistic story of a good person who fails to admit his weaknesses in time, only to find his support system later.
Considering that Ted Lasso Season 3 is likely to be the final season, this story would also make a nice ending to the main character's arc… unless the creators choose to go full drama mode and break everyone's hearts.
Not that impossible, huh?
New episodes of the 12-episode season will be released every Wednesday, so tune in to Apple TV Plus to make sure you don't miss a thing.
