Sean Bean has died on screen so many times that it's impossible not to wonder which of the deaths has become the actor's favorite.

Sean Bean has died in movies and shows so many times that fans have begun to joke that an actor's appearance in a particular project is a spoiler itself.

In an interview with RadioTimes.com, Sean talked about his favorite movie death. It turns out that the actor loved the death of Boromir in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring:

"I thought his death was very heroic and triumphant and poignant. It had pathos. And the [frame rate] slowed down and it had great music playing really loud. And it was great to try and fight back – he went on forever."

It was the most tragic and significant moment in the movie. After that, the Fellowship of the Ring fell apart and the story began to take a different direction.

In a recent article, we talked about how the death scene was actually even more tragic because of a carefully hidden and absolutely brilliant Easter egg that almost no one noticed.

After analyzing all the actor's roles in the movies, the fans stood up for him – in almost every second movie, Sean's character is killed off. They demanded that directors stop killing his characters.

Between 1986 and 2023, he died on screen almost 30 times. The deaths of three other characters of Sean Bean deserve special attention.

This is the 1995 movie Goldeneye, in which he played James Bond 's partner, 006 agent Alec Trevelyan. His character turned out to be a traitor and an international criminal.

The second movie is 2002's Equiriblium. In this movie the actor plays Partridge and practically dies at the hands of his partner for reading books, since this was forbidden in the world of the future.

Another no less significant death occurred in the TV series Game of Thrones, in which he played Eddard Stark. Fans expected this for Sean's character, but were still shocked.

Directors also killed off Bean's characters in the following movies: Caravaggio, War Requiem, The Field, Lorna Doone, Patriot Games, Airborne and this is just a small part.
