What if it was way deeper than you thought?

Schitt's Creek is a perfect choice when one needs a comfort show to laugh and even shed a tear occasionally. However, it turns out that there could be a totally unexpected layer to the CBC sitcom — and it would only make it even better.

As noted by Redditor DependentCrew5398, Schitt's Creek not only places the Rose family into circumstances they have never been before, but also gives every family member a character that illustrates who all four would become if they didn't have any money.

Think about it. Every single member of Rose family managed to make a friend in Schitt's Creek — and all four friends are pretty similar to the Roses. Roland is basically a broke version of Johnny — both are dearly in love with their wives, really sexually active despite their age, well-versed in their fields, and good (occasionally) with children.

Moira and Jocelyn? Both singers and teachers, they also grew up in small towns. Besides, they adore their husbands — and the feeling is clearly mutual.

Now, David and Stevie. Don't tell us these two are not the versions of each other: both love sarcasm and certain manners, both rock black outfits... and both are quite lonely and vulnerable.

Finally, Alexis and Twyla. Well, first of all, they both slept with Mutt, which is totally understandable... but seriously, they are both sweet and naïve, and their taste in clothes and jewellery is pretty much the same. If Alexis wasn't born into an ultra-rich family, she would probably run a café and do yoga lessons.

Basically, Schitt's Creek did its best to make sure its characters all received not only their "redemption" arcs, but also had great people by their side to show them that money is not something that ultimately makes your life worth living.

Schitt's Creek aired on CBC from 2015 to 2020, wrapping up after six seasons.
