Scabior may have only appeared for a couple of scenes in the last two Harry Potter films, but he captured our hearts from the very first moment.

In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (both parts), Scabior, played by Nick Moran, was one of the Snatchers under the command of Fenrir Greyback who caught the Golden Trio and brought them to Malfoy Manor. He later dueled with Neville Longbottom during the Battle of Hogwarts and died shortly afterward when the spell ricocheted off the bridge, causing it to collapse.

Scabior might’ve been a baddie, but he was certainly one charismatic Snatcher. That memorable scene with him and Hermione is a favorite of many Potterheads.

What has Nick Moran been up to since the end of the saga? Pretty much the same thing – acting, performing, and filmmaking.

The actor has appeared in 2015’s Age of Kill, 2017’s My Name Is Lenny, 2018’s Terminal, 2021’s Creation Stories (which he also directed), 2022’s Renegades, and many more movies.

He hasn’t said no to a few TV shows either – you could’ve spotted Nick in The Great Train Robbery, Inside No. 9, and Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators. He has also done some theater work.

By the way, here he is at the Renegades premiere! The man must be drinking a Youth Potion, he hasn’t changed in a decade.

Moran is the frontman of his own Frank Sinatra tribute band, which often performs at charity events in London.

The Harry Potter star has been married twice. His first marriage to actress Sienna Guillory lasted three years and ended in 2000. His second one stuck – Nick married Jasmine Piran in 2015, and the couple is still going strong.

Hopefully, we will be seeing more of Nick Moran in the nearest future. With his youthful looks, he could even return to his Harry Potter role in Max’s upcoming reboot, and we would all be none the wiser!
