Sadie Sink's Drastic Hairstyle Change Could Confirm Stranger Things 5 Time Jump

It's not uncommon for actors to change their looks, especially when they're involved in projects that require it.

Remember Karen Gillan 's drastic transformation for Guardians of the Galaxy, when she completely shaved off her gorgeous red hair?

Or the more recent transformation of Jessica Chastain, who went platinum blonde and showed it off at the Met Gala? Well, there's another redheaded actress who's not afraid of change to add to that list.

According to several social media posts and pictures floating around the internet, Sadie Sink has gotten rid of at least a foot of her hair and cut it into a textured bob.

Although the change itself is not sensational, the reason behind it has Stranger Things fans buzzing.

Would the young actress do something like this to her hair just a few weeks before the start of filming for Season 5 of the show if it wasn't for her role?

Viewers have every reason to believe that this bob will be Max's look for the season, and they can't wait to see it in action.

Of course, it would be possible to cover Sink's natural hair with a wig if necessary, but surely she wouldn't go for a cut if she still needed long locks.

Stranger Things fans are speculating that this hair change may be related to the show's time-jumping story arc:

"I'm sure we will do a time jump. Ideally, we'd have shot [Seasons 4 and 5] back to back, but there was just no feasible way to do that," one of the show's creators, Ross Duffer, shared with TVLine.

Assuming that the time jump will take at least a few years, a show could be set at the very beginning of the 90's, and this long bob would fit perfectly into the aesthetics of that time period.
