Rick & Morty S6 Finale: Post-Credits Scene That Will Make Fans Freak Out

The last episode of season 6 of Rick and Morty is finally here and it's got a super cool post-credit scene with everyone's fave character, Mr. Poopybutthole.

Almost every episode of Rick and Morty includes a scene after the credits – the only exception is the very first episode of the show. These bonus scenes often show jokes and/or important additions to the storyline. And, often, the character Mr. Poopybutthole appears in these post-credit scenes.

The character made his debut in the fourth episode of the second season. Mr. Poopybutthole has not been in the show since the final episode of the fifth season. And at the end of the sixth season, the character returned to once again wrap up the latest chapter of the Rick and Morty story. The scene with Mr. Poopybutthole revealed that the character's life has changed significantly since the fifth season.

At the end of season 5, it was revealed that Mr. Poopybutthole had lost his job and separated from his wife, Amy. In season 6, the hero decided to take up sports to heal the wounds after his break up with Amy – she finally left him and took the child.

Mr. Poopybutthole seriously buffed up – obviously he worked out a lot between the events of the 5 and 6 season finales. However, in the scene after the credits during his next training, Mr. Poopybutthole suffered an injury, after which he immediately gathered with the help of a trainer to reunite with his beloved. Before the events of the scene after the credits, he obviously tried to contact Amy multiple times.

The continuation of Mr. Poopybutthole's story will likely be seen in the season 7 finale. He may join Rick and Morty in earlier episodes, but he usually appears behind the season curtain. Hopefully in season 7, Mr. Poopybutthole will finally improve his life.

The premiere of the 7th season is expected in 2023.
