Rick and Morty Movie Already Has a ‘Super Fan’ A-List Filmmaker Ready To Take Charge

After the drama involving one of the creators of Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland, who was also the voice of the titular characters, the show remained in a somewhat unstable position.

Now, after a long period of uncertainty, the situation is finally resolved, with Roiland relieved of his job and the new voices (which are almost indistinguishable from their predecessor) found, the animated show is ready to move on.

And it seems that the remaining creator, Dan Harmon, has some pretty ambitious plans for the future of the project, with the intention of eventually bringing Rick and Morty to the big screen.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Harmon revealed that while there is no definite plan yet, he has already had a discussion with Warner Bros., which left him satisfied as everyone seemed to share his view on the idea.

For Harmon, the Rick and Morty movie shouldn't be an attempt to change the atmosphere and add a lot of drama, but rather a long and "super badass" episode of the show.

If the idea comes to fruition, it seems he already has a big Hollywood name on his side, as he had a conversation with Zack Snyder, who is a "super fan," which left Harmon flattered.

The filmmaker expressed his desire to help him make a Rick and Morty movie, and while there are no official agreements yet, it seems that with Snyder's apparent enthusiasm, the chances of a film actually happening are pretty high.

Fans are eager to see Rick and Morty come to the big screen, as considering that many other animated shows like South Park and The Simpsons have already made their big screen debuts, it seems like the next logical step for the franchise.

However, they believe that Harmon should first finish Community: The Movie, as it has been in limbo for quite some time, before moving on to the next feature film project.
