Remember Tom Hardy's Series 'Taboo'? Season 2 Is Finally On Its Way
It's hard to imagine that it's been more than five years since the premiere of the FX series 'Taboo', in which the mysterious gentleman played by Tom Hardy returns to gloomy Victorian London. It looks like next year we will finally get the long-awaited sequel to the series.
Created by 'Peaky Blinders ' showrunner Stephen Knight, 'Taboo' received great reviews from viewers and quickly became a fan favorite. But 'Peaky Blinders', which soared to mega-fame around the same time, took Knight's attention away from the Hardy series. The actor himself was pretty busy too – he starred in two Venom films and played Al Capone in the eponymous Josh Trank flick.
But the series was always meant to be two seasons long, so Knight's recent release from 'Peaky Blinders' definitely points to one thing – 'Taboo' is coming back soon. Speaking at a convention (via Broadcast), Knight revealed a plan to shoot the series by the end of 2022, saying that both he and Hardy are on board with the idea.
"I imagine that it will start production towards the end of next year...[Tom and I] are both keen to continue and there are lots of people who want us to continue in that direction. It's been a question of schedules and deciding where it goes next," director said.
This is great news for the many fans of the series who have been asking for a sequel for almost 5 years.
