Reacher Season 3 Will Have To Fix Major Flaw Of S2
The second season of the hit series proved to be much more polarizing than the first, but there is one issue fans seem to agree on.

Following the release of the first season of the Reacher TV series, fans felt that the original Lee Child novels were finally getting the respect they deserved, considering how much of an improvement the show was over the previous Tom Cruise-led films.
They appreciated Alan Ritchson's take on the iconic character, which felt much closer to his book counterpart, and along with great action and a nice story adapted from the very first novel in the series, the show became an instant hit.
The release of season 2 was only a matter of time, and fans couldn't wait to see it, but when it finally arrived, something unexpected happened.
Reacher Season 2 Left The Fanbase Divided
While the reviews from critics were just as positive or in some cases even warmer than before, the viewers weren't nearly as unanimous in their opinions.
Some thought it was just as good as its predecessor, introducing the audience to a different side of the titular character by putting Reacher in a new environment and reuniting him with his former comrades.
Others, however, weren't impressed at all, claiming that the writing for season 2 had experienced a significant downgrade, as viewers found some story decisions quite questionable and the dialogue less natural than in season 1.
While impressions about the quality of the writing can be called subjective, depending mostly on your taste in TV shows, another problem with the second season of Reacher has become much more obvious, and even those who enjoyed the story noticed it.
The Action Scenes Had The Biggest Downgrade
Fans say that the action scenes now suddenly resemble those of generic low-budget cable TV shows, as the choreography seems to have been given much less thought than the gripping and intense sequences of the first season.
Of course, Reacher is a huge muscular guy, but now he moves slower and less smoothly, ruining the impression of a professional trained to move as effectively as possible in combat.
The ideas of the fights in general also feel less realistic than before, as Jack and his team are often ambushed by a bunch of people with guns, only to manage to beat them all up and come out without any serious injuries.
This would have been fine in most other shows, but given that the first season was trying to keep things grounded, such a change immediately caught the eye of fans who came to see gritty action and not something more akin to a superhero movie.
Somehow, even the cinematography of the fights took a noticeable decline, with odd camera angles and constant cuts distracting viewers from trying to figure out what was going on in the scenes and just making them uncomfortable to watch.
In fact, some fans point out that this problem may be a direct result of poor choreography, as the editors may have tried to hide the weakest elements of the fights, making things even worse.
To sum it all up, while the second season of Reacher can't really be called a total flop for now, the show's creators will definitely have to listen to the feedback of the fans if they want to keep the project afloat for several more seasons.
