Queen Charlotte's Sex Scenes Outshined Every Steamy Moment in Bridgerton
After two bleak seasons, the new show finally gave fans real chemistry.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story premiered on May 4 and is already a hit on Netflix. No wonder: the series has it all.
The perfect setting, the brilliant cast (some of whom have been called "the most beautiful" of all the shows in the Bridgerton universe), true love stories and a wholesome plot without any flaws.
Well, in fact, each new season of Bridgerton seemed to eclipse the previous one, and fans thought there was nothing to top it!
For example, when the first season came out, viewers were amazed at the pure love that Simon and Daphne showed on their screens.
But later, the pink lens of their glasses got lighter, and fans started to realize how cringeworthy their intimate moments really were.
They didn't seem to be enjoying each other, but instead were like some cartoon characters, moaning randomly while having 15 seconds of sex, which they somehow ended with a look of complete satisfaction on their faces.
To say it looked weird is really saying nothing...
But the love life of Queen Charlotte and King George is something else entirely. Their poses, their faces, the way Charlotte wrinkles her eyebrows in pleasure and the gentle way George holds her during their first night together.
After that, there are some hot and steamy sex scenes between the two where you really believe that they are enjoying themselves and being loved by each other.
There is something else about the new show that has fans excited. The thing is, for two seasons, the Bridgerton universe was accused of not paying enough attention to LGBTQ+ couples, or not depicting them at all.
Well, that finally changes in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
The two characters who are in love are Reynolds and Brimsley, the secretaries to the King and Queen. They have a lot of quality screen time and fans have been able to really explore their storyline.
In Bridgerton season 2, we got a glimpse of a gay sex scene where Benedict Bridgerton came across two naked men having a great time alone in a room. At first, it seemed like he could have joined them, but instead he walked away in shame.
But the prequel series gave us the full picture of the physical love these two felt for each other, and made it so beautiful that their subplot became almost as important in the show as the main one.
So the third season of Bridgerton does have a high bar to try and top – at least when it comes to steamy scenes. All six episodes of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story are available for streaming on Netflix.
