'Puts Demands on You': Here's How Sam Raimi Prepared to Make 'Multiverse of Madness'
Sam Raimi, the creator of many supernatural thrillers, is set to roll out in just a couple of weeks what was touted as Marvel's first take on horror superhero movies – 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness'.
The director of the 'Doctor Strange ' sequel has had a tough time preparing for shooting, as, according to what Sam Raimi himself told AMC Theatres, creating the 'Multiverse of Madness' and trying to meet the challenges that the movie poses "puts demands on you".
So that's why he delved into the history of MCU.
"I had to become aware of the Avengers lore and where the whole Marvel universe was, where Wong's character was and what the state of the universe was after Thanos," he told AMC.
However, that was the challenge that Raimi enjoyed facing, while also exploring the ways to depict something "I've never seen before, heard before, touched before" in the upcoming 'Doctor Strange' movie.
He revealed that he hadn't seen all Marvel movies after making his iconic Spider-Man trilogy, because he had a "superhero overdose". But now, when he is back in the director's seat for Multiverse of Madness', Raimi came prepared and ready to push for new heights in the superhero genre.
We will get a chance to see the result of his work in the theatres on May 6.
