'Picard' Season 2 Just Ended, And Patrick Stewart Has Only One Regret About The Show
Everyone's favorite starship captain Jean-Luc Picard, played by Patrick Stewart, has just completed his latest batch of adventures, with 'Picard' season 2 ending last week. But it looks like Stewart would like to change at least one thing about this past season.
Paramount +'s biggest 'Star Trek ' series reigns supreme, with great ratings and fandom love pushing 'Picard' to become a classic in its own right. The series finale is only one season away, but fans are excited to travel the space with their favorite captain aboard even for a relatively short three-season run. And Stewart certainly takes his responsibilities seriously, pointing out one big regret he experienced while filming season two.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Stewart revealed his only serious regret of the season, and recounted the tragic upbringing that bound him to the beloved role of Jean-Luc Picard.
"My only regret is that once Jean-Luc [Picard] revealed those hidden facts about his childhood to us, I almost wished we could immediately put him back on the bridge of the Enterprise to hear and see what the impact this revelation had on him. But we couldn't do that. I grew up in a violent home and over the years… it's something that I think I've come to terms with. But the harm that it could do while it was being compressed and kept out and kept back and not acknowledged, it was very dark. I realized this was the same with Jean-Luc," Stewart said.
Stewart seems to really care about his character, trying his best to faithfully embody him on screen. And fans respect that, paying touching tributes to the legendary actor on Twitter.
