Besides, there are numerous easter eggs for you to find.

Movies that combine horror and comedy elements have always been popular with audiences. It’s proved by the enormous success of the Scary Movie franchise and Simon Pegg’s Shaun of the Dead ( 2004), which was terribly hilarious, indeed.

Back in 2011, the world saw The Cabin in the Woods that is still considered the best movie of that kind. However, it’s no better than another comedy horror gem that probably deserves even more attention than Chris Hemsworth ’s hyped flick.

Its plot revolves around two awkward friends who have just bought the vacation home of their dreams and arrive there to repair it. At the same time, a group of college students goes camping in that area, unaware that they’re not alone there.

After hearing strange noises and experiencing signs of evil, the students begin to suspect that the duo are killers, and their vacation suddenly takes a bloody turn.

This synopsis is really reminiscent of The Cabin in the Woods, but the movie we’re talking about takes it all from its somewhat silly premise. It reverses the genre’s tropes and mocks them every time it’s possible, making the killings even more ridiculous.

Horror lovers will be in complete awe of how many allusions to the genre’s classics there are — jokes related to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scream, Evil Dead and Friday the 13th movies, and it’d be much fun to try to find all these easter eggs.

Even though this film came out in 2010, it didn't get as much buzz as The Cabin in the Woods. They’re both good at delivering comedy, but 2010’s gem seems to touch on the most intense horror movie tropes greater and makes it till the bitter end.

Titled Tucker & Dale vs. Evil after the names of two unforgettable leads, this 85%-rated horror can really make you laugh to tears more than every modern comedy.

“Fantastic movie! Hilarious and criminally underrated,” claims Redditor @stevepowered, saying it deserves much more recognition from the audience.

Check out how hilarious this flick is, as Tucker & Dale vs. Evil is available for streaming on Prime.
