Original Pirates of the Caribbean Star Wants To Return to Franchise
It's been six long years since we had a Pirates of the Caribbean movie, and fans have been left wondering if we'll ever see Captain Jack Sparrow on the big screen again.
While Johnny Depp 's return to the franchise is uncertain, there's one actor who's expressed his willingness to set sail once more: Orlando Bloom.
Since its premiere in 2003, Pirates of the Caribbean has become a global sensation, largely thanks to its main cast members Johnny Depp as the always intoxicated Jack Sparrow, Orlando Bloom as Will Turner, and Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Swann, Will's lover-turned-pirate king.
Bloom recently expressed his desire to reprise his role as Will Turner in a Parade interview.
"I wouldn't mind seeing what Will looked like today in some ways," the actor said when asked about the possibility of reprising the role of Will Turner in future installment, adding that "it'd be interesting to see how he surfaces and what he's like."
At the end of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End we got to see Will defeat Davy Jones and become the captain of the Flying Dutchman, seemingly cursed forever.

At the end of Dead Men Tell No Tales, the fifth and latest Caribbean movie to date, we see a brief reunion between Will and Elizabeth after the curse has been lifted and Will can finally return ashore.
However, Bloom only had a cameo appearance in the movie.
While nothing is confirmed yet, a script for Pirates of the Caribbean 6 is already in the works. It's not impossible for the new film to focus more on the original stars.
While the absence of Johnny Depp might pose a disappointment for fans, Bloom's return could be a breath of fresh air for the franchise.

As reports have indicated, Brendon Thwaits, who played Will's son Henry, is more than keen on reprising his role too.
Only time will tell if Orlando Bloom will officially be returning for Pirates of the Caribbean 6, but fans can certainly hope.
With the sixth movie looming on the horizon, one might hope that casting news might pop up sooner than later, and a glorious return to the high seas is on its way.
