1. Daily Dose of Sunshine
This drama perfectly balances the fine line between clever comedy and tense medical drama. A young nurse finds her career taking an unexpected turn when she is transferred to the hospital's psychiatric ward. While she struggles to adjust at first, she soon makes the best of her strange situation and brightens the days of her colleagues and patients alike.
2. Song of the Bandits
The story of a Japanese soldier who turns against his country's occupation of Korea and chooses to side with the oppressed people, helping them find a new life in China. Based on the incredible true story of the lead up to the horrific Gando Massacre, this is a series about strength, hope, determination and refusing to give up no matter what the odds.
3. Mask Girl
A young woman has dreamed of becoming a pop star for most of her life, but has been held back by her perception of her looks. Considering herself too plain for fame, she now lives a secret double life as an office worker by day and a masked Internet celebrity by night. It all seems like a harmless way to indulge her fantasy until strange things start to happen. Soon, the two halves of her life threaten to collide.
4. Queenmaker
This wonderful political drama is bolstered by its two amazing female leads. A human rights lawyer finds herself running to become the next mayor of Seoul, backed by a clever strategic thinker. The banter between these two ladies is amazing and so addictive to watch. For such a dialog-heavy show, it never feels like a chore. You will be rooting for these two women, even if you may question some of their decisions at times.
5. Divorce Attorney Shin
When a child is a musical prodigy, it can seem like their life is already planned out for them. This was the case for our hero in this story, Shin Sung-han. His whole life had been about music, and he even got a job as a college professor at an elite music school in Germany. But fate had other plans for him and sadly struck him with a tragedy to set this plan in motion.
Sung-han's life then takes a dramatic turn and he enters the field of law, specializing in divorce. And he is determined to make sure that his clients win, no matter what it takes.
6. Crash Course in Romance
There is so much to love about this show that it is impossible to pick a favorite element. The characters are adorable, the main ones being a grocery store owner and her adopted daughter, as well as the famous math teacher who frequents her store.
