That would be a perfect sibling rivalry moment.

Although Bridgerton is mostly perceived as a romantic drama, it deals with a lot more social issues than you might think.

Much of the show revolves around the unfair position of women in a historical aristocratic society representing the United Kingdom in the Regency period of 1813.

As each season focuses on a particular couple who find love by navigating the rules of society, viewers get a sharper insight into the rules and order within it.

In the first season, we were introduced to Daphne Bridgerton, who eventually marries Simon Basset, but through many trials and tribulations.

One of them was her older brother Anthony, who had to take responsibility after their late father and insisted on being a part of Daphne's destiny.

He had strong words and opinions about whom she should marry, but was finally convinced of Simon when he found him and Daphne sharing a passionate kiss.

Of course, in the best protective older brother fashion, Anthony threw a scene and demanded that Basset propose to his sister.

Little did viewers know that a season later, Daphne would have the perfect opportunity to throw an equally satisfying tantrum when she walked in on Anthony and Kate together.

Even though Daphne herself acknowledged the similarities at the time, fans believe she was well within her rights to make more of a scene out of it.

It probably wouldn't have been very ladylike of her to hit Kate like Anthony did to Simon, but she could have demanded marriage and saved us all some nerves.

To see how things will go for another Bridgerton sibling, Colin, we'll have to wait for season 3 of Bridgerton. While it is still in production, you can watch seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix.
