If it wasn't for that, maybe we could have had him as Jack Traven a little bit more.

There is hardly anyone in the world who doesn't like Keanu Reeves.

Some people appreciate his humble lifestyle, some find his charity work exceptional, but of course it's his talent that earned him a huge fandom.

Keanu Reeves has been one of the best (if not the best) Hollywood heroes for over 30 years. When you hear his name, you immediately think of Neo from The Matrix and his more recent character, John Wick.

But there is one movie that a true fan will never forget to mention. The actor also brought his A-game to Jack Traven in the 1994 blockbuster titled Speed.

This time, his on-screen partner was Sandra Bullock, and it was a hit. Their characters had so much chemistry together that fans immediately fell in love with a fearless couple trying to save innocent lives.

But unfortunately to the fans, when the time came to start the shooting process of Speed 2: Cruise Control in 1997, Reeves bowed out, leaving Bullock with a new partner portrayed by Jason Patric.

When the screenplay for the movie was presented to Reeves, he simply couldn't stand it. In a 2015 interview he explained that he "decided not to be in that."

"I loved working with Jan de Bont and Sandra, of course. It was just a situation in life where I got the script and I read the script, and I was like, 'Ugh,'" actor shared in the interview.

But there's still a chance! At the John Wick: Chapter 4 premiere, an Access Hollywood journalist asked Keanu what it would take for him to reunite with Bullock in another version of Speed.

The answer was actually quite simple: "A great story. A great script," the actor said.

It's good to know that someday we might see our beloved duo back on the big screen beating up bad guys and saving lives.

The only thing we have to do is wait and hope that the next blockbuster script does not make Keanu nauseous.
