One Snarky Grey's Anatomy Character Who Should've Become Regular
Is there a way to bring her back for season 20?
Although there are not many fans of Krista Vernoff or Owen Hunt among the Grey's Anatomy audience, there is one thing many would agree was done right with this character.
The introduction of his younger sister, who has been missing for ten years.
Despite going through essentially the same traumatic experience of serving in the U.S. Army as a trauma surgeon, and perhaps an even more traumatic experience of being kidnapped from the hijacked helicopter while flying through unprotected airspace, she has a much more positive outlook on life.
Or she's just dealing with what happened in a way that's more appropriate for the audience.
Either way, thefans would trade Owen Hunt for Megan Hunt in a heartbeat, given the opportunity. But that opportunity just never came.
One character that viewers blame for Megan never staying longer at Grey Sloan Memorial is Link, also known by his full name, Atticus Lincoln.
It's clear that the showrunners wanted to add some orthopedic surgeons to the mix of characters, so Link was created. But the fandom tends to think it should have been Megan all along.
Not only was she fun and funny and had a great dynamic with Owen, which not many characters do, but she was definitely set up for the greater mission.
No one could ever know the truth now if the actors or writers don't come out with it themselves, but viewers are sure that Megan's storyline was meant to be more than just riding off into the sunset.
Megan was a great link between Owen and Teddy, adding to the group dynamic without being a shallow character herself.
If the showrunners had decided to develop her character further, fans believe Grey Sloan Memorial would have welcomed its best trauma surgeon yet.
Krista Vernoff, however, decided to move forward with Link, who has been controversial ever since.
Hope is fading with each passing season, but there is still a chance that Megan will return for the 20th anniversary season.
