One Part Of Good Omens' Crowley Look David Tennant Absolutely Hates
It’s not all fun and games on Good Omens set.
One of the greatest perks of being an actor is the ability to shapeshift into the looks of every historical period imaginable if your role demands it. One of the greatest perks of portraying a 6-thousand-year-old demon in a comedy series, the role always demands you to change styles due to all-time jumps.
As both, David Tennant and his co-star Michael Sheen, who portray Crowley and Aziraphael in Neil Gaiman ’s series Good Omens, agree, the costume change is the most fun part of their jobs.
Although Aziraphael doesn’t change that much due to his love for old-fashioned looks, Michael Sheen admitted taking great pleasure in watching David Tennant change his appearance. From long red curls to the craziest facial hair imaginable, Tennant is all for the most outstanding looks for Crowley.
However, there was one detail in one of his costumes that was really bothering the actor a lot. Tennant opened up about the experience during the promotional interview for Good Omens season 2 with Newshub:
“For me, it’s finding new things to do with facial hair that don’t involve a mustache. I don’t like having a mustache stuck on. It’s very difficult to have that stuck on your face all day,” the actor complained.
Unfortunately, some eras just couldn’t do without any mustache, so David Tennant still had to work with the given conditions. No matter how uncomfortable that must’ve been, the mustache finished off the 70s disco look perfectly well, and didn’t get in the way of the actor showing off some very dope moves.
After all, we all know how important it is for Crowley to do things with style.
If you want to see what bizarre costumes are waiting for both Aziraphael and Crowley in season 2, you can go ahead and stream it today. Good Omens season 2 is already available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
