Michael Scott may be the worst boss ever but he is no stranger to romance.

And one of the most romantic things, which ever happened to him in The Office was when he got lost in Scranton after Jim left him at a petrol station because of an emergency with his daughter.

Michael kept on wandering in the city with no phone, visiting a hot dog stand and a noodle house among other fancy places.

But the question is, how come Michael Scott got lost in his home town in the first place? Can you imagine getting lost in a place you grew up?

One TBBT Moment So Cringe, Even the Writers Wish They Could Undo It

While some say that navigation is not Scott's strongpoints recalling how he literally drove into a lake others argue that it is not hard to get lost. One of the redditors shares what they feel when they need to go between two places of their home town, even if they know where both of them are.

The problem is "I can't picture how to get from one to the other. And this is a town I have lived in for twenty years," says the commenter adding that the sense of direction is very odd even of one knows the general layout of the town.

Some fans clearly say it is indeed one of the many The Office's plot holes but it allowed for the story.

This was most probably done on purpose to reveal more about the characters of Michael Scott and Holly Flax. It was Holly who rescued Scott because she knew him from A to Z and once he got lost she knew where to find him.

Unpopular Opinion Suggests Rachel Should've Ended Up With Joey on Friends

She visited all the places Michael went to only to find him on top of a building. Their kiss signifies the climax of The Search Episode. The story is a nice opportunity to make an opinion about the couple and their relationship. In a nutshell, it tells us how perfectly they match.

Redditors agree that the writers used Michael Scott's wandering and Holly finding him as a device to show that the characters belong together and to reunite them. The good thing is that they get engaged in Season 7, get married afterwards and have three children. Despite all the hurdles of The Office life they are together.

As Michal Scott summed it up for us in his typical fashion, "Holly and I are like Romeo and Juliet. And this office is like the dragon that kept them apart."
