Even a brief cameo on a hit show can make you a star overnight.

When we hear Alexandra Daddario's name, we immediately think of White Lotus show, but that's not what we are going to talk about now.

In the other hit show titled True Detective, fans remember her playing the role of Lisa Tragnetti, a morally-ambiguous court stenographer who finds herself in an affair with Detective Marty.

This affair has a lot of consequences for both of them. Marty gets so jealous that he even attacks her new boyfriend, and Lisa decides to tell Marty's wife about his infidelity.

Enough drama for one little affair...

While her character was not initially a major one, Daddario understood from the beginning that landing a role on True Detective would be a great opportunity for her career.

Little did she know that it would have such a huge impact in such a short time. And what helped it happen was one particular scene, where Daddario showed up nude in an intimate moment with Marty.

As it turned out, that one scene was not only a great moment for the plot of True Detective, but also a key point in Alexandra's acting career.

In an interview with Collider, she said that she really didn't know what her nude scene would do in a show where her character didn't have much screen time or value.

So the outcome could have been very different. But what happened the morning after the episode aired took her by surprise.

She remembers her manager calling her and saying that the phone had been buzzing all morning with role offers. It seemed like every director wanted to meet her.

And right at that time she managed to get her part in San Andreas, the $155 million blockbuster, where she played Blake Gaines, one of the main characters.

Despite the fact that Daddario wasn't even sure if her nude appearance in True Detective was going to do her any good, it actually helped her climb a little higher on the Hollywood career ladder.
