Along the way, we've seen some iconic love interests in the Harry Potter franchise. However, there is one particular pairing that absolutely lacks chemistry.

And the most uncomfortable couple for many fans was surprisingly Harry and Luna.

She is a Ravenclaw student at Hogwarts. Luna is known for her eccentric, dreamy personality and her belief in creatures and phenomena that others consider imaginary.

However, Luna proves to be a loyal and brave friend to Harry and his allies, fighting alongside them in the battle against Voldemort and the Death Eaters.

Redditor Particular-Ad1523 explains that they have never understood those who support this ridiculous connection. And while the movie version of Ginny is also questioned by many, Luna seems like a strange choice altogether.

To Harry, Lovegood is an incredibly weird girl who wanders around the school looking for friends.

The Chosen One and Luna's backstory is not shown, except for the Order of the Phoenix classes, when Potter taught Dumbledore's army in the Room of Requirement.

The Redditor notes that Harry doesn't understand any of her conspiracy theories, and wonders about her useless knowledge of various creatures and her ridiculous choice of clothing. Luna and Harry have very little in common.

Luna is a quirky and eccentric character who is interested in things like Nargles and Wrackspurts. In contrast, Harry is a serious and determined character who is focused on defeating Voldemort.

While it's true that opposites can attract, the differences between them are too great for a meaningful relationship.

Harry and Luna are two completely unrelated people who share only a desire for goodness and justice, qualities that are too vague for many Hogwarts students.

However, many fans point out that the movie version of Lovegood is very different from her image in the books.

To admirers of the universe, Luna in J. K. Rowling's version seems a more suitable match for Harry, and Ginny is a perfect partner for Neville.

However, it has to be said Ginny is still the least convincing character for many fans. While Luna or Hermione are shown as friends without any hint of a relationship, the movie adaptation of the youngest Weasley was simply destroyed.

Ginny was portrayed as a girl with one quality — loving Harry Potter.
