One Family Guy Line that Had Fans Trolling Mila Kunis Nonstop
What's this line that fans just can't resist throwing at Kunis?
You may remember Mila Kunis, a star who's made her mark on some of the most memorable TV shows out there, from the much-loved sitcom That 70s Show, and That 90s Show, alongside her husband Ashton Kutcher.
In addition to her live-action roles, Mila Kunis is also known for lending her voice for the character of Meg in the popular animated series Family Guy.
Stepping into the role in the show's second season back in 1999, Kunis has become one with Meg, the character who's often the butt of the joke in the Griffin family and pretty much anyone else she encounters on the show.
Despite admitting to loving this role, Mila Kunis just can't seem to escape one particular line. Kunis shared on The Graham Norton Show that the line she always gets from Family Guy fans is “Shut up, Meg!”
Yes, the same line that's often hurled at Peter and Lois Griffin's eldest child, who's somehow become the family's perpetual buzzkill and often overlooked member. It's not the nicest thing to hear, but let's be real, it's kind of expected.
Luckily, Kunis takes it all in stride and with a good sense of humor. And she kind of has to, considering Family Guy has been renewed for a 22nd and 23rd season. So, it looks like she'll be hearing "shut up, Meg" for a while longer.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kunis expressed her feelings about the character she voices:
“I love Meg. I mean, how can you not after 400 episodes of voicing this character? I feel like I grew up with her... Listen, let’s not make it “low-key.” What’s the cool kid saying? “No cap.” Let’s just be all loud about it. I fu**ing love Meg. I’m so bummed that she gets the short end of the stick and all that, but she’s all of us.”
Mila Kunis is expected to reprise her role in the upcoming season 22 of Family Guy, expected to premiere on October 1, 2023.
