While some storylines are still up in the air, others seem to be coming to an end.

Season 7 of Riverdale will premiere on March 29th at 9pm on The CW and will mark the beginning of the end of the show.

While opinions on the storyline teased in the trailer are mixed, and fans are divided on whether there's still a chance to save the show without making the finale completely absurd, just about everyone is excited to see their favorite characters and cast members come together one last time.

The comeback of Mark Consuelos, who plays Hiram Lodge on the show, was no exception. Veronica's dad was last seen at the end of season 5 and has only been mentioned throughout season 6 as he's supposed to be dead.

Although the new picture from the set that Consuelos shared in his IG stories might suggest otherwise: he is on set without any zombie-like makeup, with a big smile on his face.

This wouldn't be complete nonsense, considering that season 7 will primarily focus on a different universe of Riverdale, back in the 50s.

It's very likely that a charismatic villain with more than questionable business dealings will find his place, the question is: how will his daughter take it?

While some hope to see Hiram back as a classic '50s gangster, others would enjoy a more complicated storyline for him.

"I am hoping to god they make Hiram a freaking KGB operative or something," Redditor hollotta223 suggests, painting a whole other picture of how the plot could unfold.

After all, Riverdale is known to not set on anything normal, so the craziest ideas could easily come to life.

Whether Hiram Lodge will return to the 50's universe, or as a part of someone else's flashback, we are still yet to see. Keep an eye out for other news from the set, and join the premiere on March 29 on The CW.
