One Burning Question The Young And The Restless Never Bothered to Address in Years
It may seem that every possible storyline was covered in the series over the years, but still.
The writers may want to clear up some loose ends that the show still has, despite celebrating its 50th anniversary on the air. And this one is about Sharon. Up until now, it's still unclear who her father is.
So what we know about Sharon is that she is a June born girl who grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and had a very sad life from the beginning.
When she was a child, her father abandoned her and she (and we) never heard from him again. And her mother is Doris Collins, who is now in a wheelchair.
In her early years Sharon already becomes unhappy with a situation where she has to abandon her own child. After getting pregnant as a teenager she gave up her child for adoption.
But that's all history now. A lot has changed since Sharon was introduced to the show, but there's still no answer to the "who's the father" question. And the fans started to have their own theories.
"For all we know Sharon could even have siblings from her father that we are not even aware of. Plus if you make her father a legacy character she would be related to most people on the show.
Unless they made Sharon a long lost Brooks or something, that could work. Or if they made her a long lost Foster, then could you imagine?" Reddit user Tg11T said.
The fans are not crazy to suspect all this. For example, Theo turned out to be Brooks' long lost relative, although his story was left unclear as well.
Seriously, after all these years, pretty much anything can happen.
But while most fans are still obsessed with finding answers to the burning question, the rest are just not ready for "50 year old Sharon finds her unknown father and builds a relationship with him."
What could be a great twist for her, however, is a new sibling. Maybe that's why the writers haven't revealed any secrets about her family yet — because they're saving the best for last?
