The Marvel actor who gets things done like nobody else.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe and other Marvel movies, there have been many actors who have had two different roles, usually minor ones.

But can you remember at least one actor who scored three roles in Marvel projects? Well, we are about to introduce you to one such amazingly talented actor.

We are talking about Mahershala Ali, multiple-Oscar winner, who, as you may have guessed, scored three distinct roles in Marvel movies and TV shows. Let's take a moment to remember them.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Even though the groundbreaking 2018 animated film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, is a Sony's movie and not an MCU project (potentially a part of it though), Ali lent his voice to the character of Aaron Davis, aka the Prowler.

Ali delivered a captivating performance as the uncle of Miles Morales, the film's main protagonist. His voice acting skills left a lasting impression and showed us just how skilled he is at bringing characters to life, even without physically being on screen.

Luke Cage

Ali's journey across Marvel started in the Netflix series Luke Cage. It is currently unclear if the series is part of the MCU or not, but he portrayed Cornell Cottonmouth Stokes.

As the show's charismatic and complicated antagonist, Ali simply knocked it out of the park. He brought an undeniable presence to Cottonmouth, making him more than an ordinary run-of-the-mill villain.

Thanks to Ali's commanding performance, Cottonmouth became one of the most memorable baddies in the Marvel TV universe. You couldn't help but be captivated by his portrayal.

Blade

Ali is set to take on the iconic role of Blade in the MCU reboot. This news had fans buzzing with anticipation and excitement.

And who can blame them? With Ali's remarkable range, it's no wonder fans can't wait to see what he brings to the table.

The moment Blade steps into the cinematic universe, Ali is bound to deliver a fresh and captivating interpretation after the cult Blade trilogy starring Wesley Snipes.

Blade was set to release on September 6, 2024, but the production was delayed due to the ongoing writers strike.
