You don't need to go to a galaxy far far away to film a Disney Plus 'Star Wars' show.

'Obi-Wan Kenobi ' takes viewers on a journey to a handful of different planets. But it turns out that visiting fantastic places in the galaxy does not require too much effort when it comes to filming it.

The team behind 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' had to recreate the authentic feeling of other planets that 'Star Wars ' is famous for in the Los Angeles studio. The TV show was filmed in California's MBS Movie Campus – a location also known for hosting the crew of 'The Mandalorian ' during shooting.

Different locations across Los Angeles were also reportedly filmed in 'Obi-Wan Kenobi': particularly, the East Los Angeles College, as well as the city of El Segundo in Santa Monica bay, according to The Cinemaholic.

Also, according to the report, the crew went to England and Scotland to film some of the sequences. The production team traveled to Little Marlow in Buckinghamshire, England, reportedly constructing a massive film set in an abandoned quarry in the village. In Scotland, the crew filmed some of the sequences in Glen Tilt.

It's fascinating how locations like English villages and Los Angeles college premises are translated into various planets where the Jedi face off the Inquisitors of the Empire. But this is what the magic of the cinema is about: in order to make viewers feel like they are on a breathtaking space journey, you don't actually need to leave Earth.

Moreover, aside from being magical, it is also plain convenient: after all, we're not that comfortable in space to shoot Disney Plus movies there… yet.
