Good thing justice prevailed after all.

Actress Salma Hayek, best known for her roles in From Dusk Till Dawn and Desperado, revealed how disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein mocked her during the filming of Frida.

The actress previously mentioned that she was one of the many victims of harassment by Weinstein. In 2017, she wrote an op-ed for the New York Times, in which she admitted that she was lured by the producer to have sex:

"No to me taking a shower with him. No to letting him watch me take a shower. No to letting him give me a massage. […] And with every refusal came Harvey's Machiavellian rage."

In Frida, which tells about the life of the outstanding artist Frida Kahlo, Salma Hayek played the title role.

Weinstein, the founder of his own production company and film company Miramax Films, agreed to pay Hayek for producing the initial stage of the movie and pay her as an actress.

However, she received nothing for her work as a producer.

According to the actress, when Weinstein failed to persuade her to go intimate with him, he simply began insulting her:

"When he would call me up [during the making of 'Frida'] and scream, 'Why do you have a [monobrow] and mustache? I didn't hire you to look ugly!' I was like, 'But didn't you ever look at a picture of Frida Kahlo?'"

The fact that Salma refused to appear completely naked in the movie made the insults even worse. The actress understood that people often taunt others to prove their own importance and power.

That is why she developed a strategy to fight the bullying: not to show any weakness and to be aware of the inadequacy of the attacker.

Hayek said she was able to deal with the bullying of a movie producer to a certain extent.

In addition, she said he did not try to commit violent acts against her, which she believes was due to her friendship with Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino and George Clooney.

All is well that ends well, as Frida received good reviews from both viewers and critics, was nominated for six Oscars and won two, and impressed Frida Kahlo's niece so much that she gave Salma Hayek the artist's necklace.
